The village has about two-year history. Until 1931 The village was called Krdevan. The village was named Yenokavan in 1931 after its inhabitant Yenok Mkrtumyan, an active participant of the May rebellion. The village is located at an altitude of 950 meters above sea level. There are ruins of old castles and churches in the village areas, half-destroyed chapels.
